Rich Internet Applications, Cloud-Based Systems, Software as a Service. Whatever you call them, a report by Forrester Research predicts that by 2015, roughly 80% of all new applications will be web-based.

Based on our experience, that figure is conservative. Every end-user application we have developed in the past few years has been delivered via a browser-based rich client. Popular technology options include jQuery, ExtJS, Adobe Flex, Dot Net, etc.

Samples

Here are some samples of web-based applications constructed by N-Squared:

SkinMan: The SkinMan application is a simple, rapidly developed custom application for tracking and invoicing "slinkies", i.e. very young calves and lambs that are sold to tanneries after dying of natural causes at a very young age.

Propel: Propel is a idea-management system. It was originally developed for tracking, prioritizing and collaborating on product concepts for a research and manufacturing company, but it has wide general application.

XPARC: XPARC is richly featured system which supports the unique business model (contracts, resource allocation, funding, payments, etc.) of a major New Zealand company. The system provides 100+ screens, 100+ reports, and is regularly enhanced.
